Faldo was renowned for his dedication to the game, and was ranked number one on the Official World Golf Ranking for a total of 97 weeks. His 43 professional wins include 30 victories on the European Tour and six major championships: three Open Championships and three Masters. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1998.
